THE STORY
Liz and Mike are deeply knowledgeable regenerative farmers and beekeepers, with a wealth of other talents up their sleeves. We first met them in 2018 when they hired us to design honey labels and branding for their Alberta-based venture: Two Pine Farms. In 2022, they reached out to tell us that they were moving. They had signed a longterm lease on their dream property – a century-old farm on Hornby Island, BC.
With this move, Liz and Mike were seeking a new brand that was firmly grounded in a sense of place. They envisioned the farm as a destination for locals and tourists alike, and wanted to invest in an identity that would serve the farm for generations to come. With reverence for their vision and ways of working, we set out to create a timeless brand that conveys a mindful, experienced approach to land stewardship, food production, and community building.
Seabird populations are often used as a bioindicator for the broader health of marine environments. If they are thriving, it’s a sign that all of the factors contributing to habitat, food supply, and climate within the environment are balanced as they should be.
These two little seabirds, soaring freely, in connection with each other are representative of Liz and Mike’s regenerative approach to agriculture. They also pay tribute to their complimentary partnership and new island home.
“We could not be happier! Our brand is a perfect reflection of who we are and what we do – a result of Feast’s incredible talents and meticulous process.”
